Born in Kincheonville, Texas on Nov. 24, 1915 Departed on Jul. 2, 2007 and resided in Austin, TX.

Levi “Daddy” White was born November 24, 1915, in Kincheonville, Texas to Mr. Moses White and Mrs. Pearlie White.

Levi was preceded in death by both parents, Moses Sr. & Pearlie Dailey-White and his six brothers: George, Lonnie, Moses Jr., Johnny, Billy, and Charlie.

Levi was a devoted Christian husband, father and provider for his family. He was a horticulturalist before there was such a word. He could take barren ground and make hearts leap with warmth with his gardening skills.  He worked for Austin Independent School District for over 20 years. He was a humble man that taught his children and grandchildren the importance of hard work, keeping your word and staying connected as a family.  Daddy White set the bar high for everyone but especially for the men in the family. His work ethics was above and beyond belief and if he told you he would “do it” it was as good as done!  He loved his wife with a deep passion and in his later years truly expressed his love towards his beloved wife.

Three words that speaks boldly of the man Levi White:
HUMBLE, DEDICATED and INTEGRITY

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mrs. Ann “Momma” White, sons: Larry James Franklin, Terry Lee White, daughters: Shirley Ann Merida, Gladys Overton (Fred), Darlene Ephriam (Ray) Rhonda Kay Swist (Paul), and Juanita Stephens (Paul). He was blessed to have 17 grandchildren: Cynthia, Harvey, Cheryl, Joyce, ViTonya, Mesha, James, DeShonda, Marcus, Adrian, Angela, Mark, Adam, Alan, Marie, Courtney, and Corbin and 25 great grandchildren and he was the loving father to 221 foster children.[/two_third]
